A fresh teaser has been released for the animated feature ‘Night of the Zoopocalypse’, spotlighting a zoo turned upside down by mutant creatures.

The concept, inspired by renowned genre author Clive Barker’s imaginative mind, promises a blend of humor and horror in a family-friendly package.

Scheduled for a theatrical release by Viva Pictures in the US on March 7, 2025, and by Elevation Pictures in Canada, the film features the direction of seasoned animators Ricardo Curtis and Rodrigo Perez-Castro.

This duo brings their rich background from projects like ‘The Incredibles’ and ‘The Book of Life’ to craft a story filled with quirky and endearing characters.

Set in the seemingly tranquil Colepepper Zoo, the plot revolves around a meteor strike that introduces a bizarre virus, transforming the zoo animals into a variety of slobbering zombie mutants.

Amid the chaos, Gracie, a plucky young wolf, joins forces with a rugged mountain lion to restore order. Alongside a diverse group of animal survivors, they attempt to counter the spread of the infection and tackle the mutant king, Bunny Zero.

The voice cast includes David Harbour, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Scott Thompson, and Gabbi Kosmidis, who bring life to this wild adventure.

The film, which also premiered at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, received a PG rating from the MPA due to its action-packed sequences and mildly scary visuals.

We’re eager to see how families around the world will react to this zany twist on the traditional zoo visit.
