Do Wanda’s Actions in ‘WandaVision’ and Billy’s ‘Agatha All Along’ Reveal She Gave Pietro His Powers, Not the Mind Stone?

In the MCU, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff got their powers from the Mind Stone, which was in Loki’s scepter. Wanda’s contact with the stone gave her powers like moving things with her mind and changing reality.

Pietro, on the other hand, got super speed. Hydra was a big part of how Wanda and Pietro got their powers. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, it’s shown that Hydra experimented on the twins, using the Mind Stone in their tests.

Wanda got her powers from the Mind Stone, while Pietro gained super speed. At the time, the MCU couldn’t mention their mutant origins because Fox owned the rights. Later on, the MCU started hinting that mutants existed in their universe.

Even considering this, it’s hard to link Pietro’s super-speed directly to the Mind Stone. It’s been revealed that both Pietro and Wanda had genetic markers that could unlock powers, and other Sokovians also had these markers, but the twins were the only ones to survive.

In WandaVision, it’s strongly suggested that Wanda’s powers go beyond just the Mind Stone, and that Pietro’s abilities came from Wanda’s ability to change reality.

The show hinted that Wanda’s powers first appeared when she was a child, while protecting herself and Pietro from a Stark Industries bomb. Wanda showed her powers, but Pietro didn’t show any super-speed. Since the Mind Stone later boosted their abilities, it’s odd that Pietro didn’t have any speed powers earlier, unlike Wanda.

WandaVision also suggests that Wanda can give others super-speed, as shown by her son Tommy, who has super-speed even though he was created by Wanda’s magic and has no genetic connection to his “uncle.”

Introducing Wanda’s son Billy makes things even more complicated, as Billy seems to have an incredibly strong power to change reality in a way never seen before in the MCU. He was able to create an entire realm, the Witches Road, using just his magic.

While doing this, he created magic within the realm, read the minds of his coven members, and learned things he couldn’t have known, all while making those thoughts become real.

It’s unlikely, but still possible, that Wanda and Billy could be the ones to create the X-Men in the MCU. All it would take is people with the right genetics and Wanda and Billy’s ability to grant powers and change reality.
