The Alien franchise was actually created by the late writer Dan O’Bannon and his colleague Ronald Shusett, who wrote the original story, which was later adapted into one of the best sci-fi and horror movies of all time. It was Ridley Scott who made the franchise popular with his Alien movie, and the rest is, as you know quite well – history.

Numerous movies from the franchise have been made, as well as series, and we have seen the franchise evolve in many different ways. And it is still evolving, which is a fact that a lot of fans are very, very happy about.

In light of that fact, you can imagine that the fans are also exploring their own theories and possibilities through various artistic forms. While browsing the Internet, we found a very interesting piece of fan art that we wanted to share with you and that you will most certainly enjoy!

The piece of fan art we are talking about is related to a new hypothetical type of Xenomorph hybrid. The Xenomorphs are, of course, the titular aliens from the series, and while the series has introduced some hybrids, it has mostly focused on the evolution of the creature as a separate species.

The original Xenomorph is the best-known version of the species and we’ve also seen other forms of the species, earlier forms to be precise, in the prequel series, which explore the creature’s evolution as a whole. But, in the movies, we’ve also seen two hybrids.

The first one was a humanoid creature called the Newborn, which ended up being a discarded concept that no one wanted to hold onto anymore.

Alien: Romulus introduced a new hybrid, the Offspring, which is the result of a human character consuming the black goo, but it remains to be seen how the hybrids will evolve in the series; Alien: Romulus is getting a sequel, but it remains to be seen whether the hybrids will be explored further.

But, regardless of what the filmmakers do, we can confirm that the fans are coming up with their own hybrids, and we wanted to share this with you:

As you can see, this is a Xenomorph-spider hybrid, something similar to an earlier version of the creature, but not completely. The hybrid is something new, and while this piece of fan art doesn’t dig deeper into the creature’s origins, you can probably guess how the hybrid came to be.

We don’t know if anyone will ever use this concept, but we can agree that it is awesome enough for us to urge the filmmakers to give us this hybrid in the future!
