‘Venom: The Last Dance’ was recently released and despite the initial lukewarm reception, the movie turned out to be quite a solid hit and a decent end to the ‘Venom’ trilogy. Even before the movie was released, fans were excited about the announcement that Knull – one of Marvel’s most powerful villains, is going to play a role in a movie.

The role was small, and Knull doesn’t get much screen time, still writer/director Kelly Marcel teased Knull’s future in the cinematic universe saying that this was just the beginning. It certainly felt like that.

Andy Serkis who voiced Knull in the movie, talked about the possible return of the character in future Marvel movies.

He shared that his role as Knull was a last-minute addition to the film and expressed interest in coming back as the character to battle Spider-Man. Serkis made these comments during an interview at FAN EXPO San Francisco 2024, which featured other superhero stars like Charlie Cox and Grant Gustin.

Well, that’s also very interesting. I really, genuinely have no idea. It was very much, “Can you come in?” It was quite last minute, actually. “Can you come in and do the voice for Knull?” So, I came in and did it on the stage. Then there was talk of, “This could go on… He’s quite a big character,” and I was like, “Yeah, I know that.” Well, let’s see what happens, actually.

What Serkis now said confirms several interesting rumors we’ve heard over the last couple of weeks. Knull is rumored to be both a big villain in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 4’ and to bring Symbiotes to the MCU in ‘Secret Wars.’ Some of that is bound to be false, but the opportunities are certainly intriguing.
