You probably know that the DCU’s television department is going forward fast with Peacemaker and the upcoming animated series Creature Commandos, which is promising to be a crazy and exciting project. The series will officially premiere on Max tomorrow, December 5, 2024, but we have already written in our review that the series looks very, very promising.
The general reactions by everyone are mostly positive and Creature Commandos seems to be a series that will be loved by DC fans and indicates that James Gunn knows what he is doing with the DCU now that he has taken full control of the cinematic universe.
Of course, with the series slated to become a hit, fans from around the world are getting inspired by it, and in light of that fact, we have stumbled upon an interesting piece of fan art that reimagines one of the series’ central characters in the best possible way!
Creature Commandos will be a very interesting series and we assume that Gunn and the writers had a difficult time balancing out all these characters so that the final series turns out to be a success, but we firmly believe that they have been able to do it in the end, which is something that the early reviews are implying.
The character of the Bride of Frankenstein will be voiced by Indira Varma, and she is not only going to be one of the most important members of the titular team of heroes (if they can be called heroes), but she will also be one of the main characters in the series, as it has been confirmed by the media some time ago.
In light of that, you can understand how people are interested in this character, and in relation to that, we have found an interesting piece of fan art that we wanted to share with you:
Wwhile artist Felipe Illa described this as a live-action take on the character, it is nevertheless a sketch; a realistic one that shows the voice actress in the role, but still a sketch, although a good enough one for us to imagine it in a live-action context.
The official description reads as follows: “Working for fun, okay? Creature Commandos will be releasing soon! Why not bring forward the Live-Actions look of the characters? I think it’s a good idea like ‘What If’!“
James Gunn has said that his DCU characters will be crafted in such a way that they can easily make the transition between live-action and animated format, so there might be something here in the future, but more on that at a later date. Until then, be sure to keep following us!
