Anime and manga fans will know that Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed) is one of the longest franchises in history. Written by Gosho Aoyama, the manga has been ongoing continuously since 1994, and while Aoyama has teased the ending on more than one occasion, it is not even in sight. The anime series currently has 32 seasons and more than 1,100 episodes (yes, more than One Piece!), which is amazing.
Of course, with such long-running anime franchises, aside from the anime series, there are also numerous feature-length anime movies that are part of the franchise, and the newest one, Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback, will be released on April 18, 2025, in Japan.
In this article, we will happily share the chilling teaser trailer for the upcoming movie that has just been released and reveal all the additional information you need to know about the 28th film in the Detective Conan franchise!
As we have promised you, there is a short teaser trailer that you can check out, which is as chilling as the setting of this new movie, so here is what you can expect from the movie:
At this moment, all and any official information about the movie is scarce. We know, as you can see in the trailer, that the movie will be released on April 18, 2025, in Japan; an international release has not been confirmed, and knowing the history of the franchise, we don’t think you should have any high hopes about seeing it.
Plot details are likewise scarce, but we could see in the trailer that we’re dealing with a winter mountain setting, which certainly seems very interesting. As for the cast and crew, we are going to see many old and new faces, with the current unfinished list, being as follows:
