As you know, the information that Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was, at one point, the hottest piece of information in the entertainment industry. The MCU fans finally have something to look forward to again after a lengthy run of subpar films, as Downey’s comeback is guaranteed to stir things up.

The San Diego Comic-Con revelation was a major thing and the fans are now looking forward to seeing how Marvel and Downey are going to handle the role of Doctor Doom. But, it’s not just them – almost everyone either had or still has an opinion on this, and we have one such opinion for you here.

Namely, speaking to Josh Horowitz recently, James Gunn was asked about the Downey casting and the filmmaker was pretty clear on what he thought about this decision, so if you want to know what exactly the current DCU co-head said, keep reading!
