‘My Hero Academia’ Wins Anime of the Year on Tiktok Awards Japan

The “New Big Three” has been dominating the manga and anime market successfully for years, and among them, My Hero Academia holds a special place in the hearts of many fans, who were saddened by the fact that Kohei Hirokoshi ended the story recently. Still, the silver lining is that most fans were satisfied with the manga’s conclusion.

But, while the manga might be over, anime fans will still get to enjoy the series, as a final season is currently in the works and the popularity of the franchise is not fading, as this report will soon show you.

Namely, it has been confirmed online that My Hero Academia – the anime series – just won another award that can be added to its already rich gallery of awards. In order to thank the fans, Izuku Midoriya himself appeared in a video in which he expressed his gratitude to those who have made this new award possible.

Recently, the 2024 TikTok Awards Japan took place and the winners have been announced. While anime is not directly related to TikTok, the “Best Anime” category was part of the awards night and we can happily confirm that My Hero Academia won the “Best Anime” category at the awards ceremony:

As you can see, Izuku Midoriya – the protagonist of the anime – appeared in person to thank everyone, and we are sure that those who follow this on Twitter will make this video and announcement go viral. These awards are not major, but they are nevertheless interesting and we can only congratulate the people behind the project on this most recent success.

As for the future, as we’ve said, My Hero Academia is over, at least in the manga. The anime series still has one season to go, which will adapt the remaining manga chapters and provide us with a proper closing story that fans will most definitely enjoy and love, so there is more MHA content coming up.
