‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ is a 2024 action-adventure comedy film based on the incredibly popular Sega video game series. It’s the sequel to ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ (2020) and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ (2022), directed by Jeff Fowler.
The cast includes returning stars like Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey, along with newcomers Krysten Ritter and Keanu Reeves. The plot of the movie is straightforward enough Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles team up with Dr. Robotnik to stop a new, powerful enemy, Shadow the Hedgehog, and save the planet.
The movie is still a few days away from premiering globally, still, some fans and critics had the opportunity to watch it early and now the social media embargo has lifted, and some first reviews are pouring in.
The response to ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ is very positive, with a more mature and emotional tone for the franchise. Keanu Reeves is praised for his portrayal of Shadow, and Jim Carrey’s performance is a standout.
