In November 2022, it was revealed that Ryan Coogler and Kevin Feige had discussed making a third ‘Black Panther’ movie. While it wasn’t officially confirmed at the time, Denzel Washington later mentioned that Coogler was writing him a role for the movie.

Although ‘Wakanda Forever’ wasn’t as successful as the first ‘Black Panther’ film, it still made a big impact by introducing new characters and establishing Shuri as the new Black Panther. Her story is expected to continue, and there are theories suggesting that Doctor Doom could play a role.

Before the release of ‘Wakanda Forever,’ fans hoped Doctor Doom would appear, especially with the focus on vibranium. While he didn’t show up, it’s believed that Doom will be introduced in upcoming films like ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ or ‘Doomsday.’ However, Doom’s connection to Wakanda is still likely to be explored.

We don’t know much about the development of the third ‘Black Panther’ movie yet, but if our theory is right, it could be released between ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars.’ This is because of the ‘Doomwar’ storyline.

In this story, Wakanda faces political chaos. Queen Ororo (Storm), who is married to King T’Challa, is accused of treason by a group of Wakandan rebels controlled by Doctor Doom. Doom wants to take control of Wakanda’s vibranium, a nearly indestructible metal with special powers, to use as a weapon.

Doom plans to overthrow T’Challa and Shuri to tap into the mystical powers Wakandans have with vibranium.

In a surprising turn of events, T’Challa makes all vibranium useless to stop Doctor Doom, or anyone else, from using it as a weapon. This decision causes major problems for Wakanda, as their technology and economy rely heavily on vibranium.

While we currently don’t have Storm or T’Challa in the MCU, the story could still work. Shuri played a key role in this storyline—she was the Black Panther, which fits her current position in the MCU.

Another important part of the story involves the Fantastic Four, and by the time ‘Black Panther 3’ comes out, they will already be part of the MCU.

The upcoming Captain America: Brave New World will explore world governments trying to use Adamantium found in the remains of a Celestial. We’ve also seen Wakanda’s vibranium attacked in Wakanda Forever, so it makes sense that Doctor Doom could target the country, especially since he’ll need all the power he can get for Doomsday and Secret Wars.

The movie might also focus on the new alliance between Wakanda and Talokanil, especially with Namor being introduced as a major character. However, we haven’t heard much about him or his future appearances.

Adapting Doomwar in the MCU would be exciting, especially since Wakanda seems to have a big role in the future of the franchise, with many projects focusing on the country in development.
