Sylvester Stallone’s Upcoming Action-Packed Film, ‘Alarum,’ Releases First Trailer

Sylvester Stallone is one of the biggest action stars of all time. The actor reached stardom thanks to the Rocky and Rambo franchises, but he has played a series of other roles – mostly those of action heroes – and has had several successful projects aside from these two franchises, including the ongoing series Tulsa King.

While Sly’s cinematic career is not on the same level as it was decades ago, the actor is still shooting movies and we are happy to report that Collider has just revealed the first exclusive trailer for his new movie, which is going to be released in January 2025.

The movie in question is titled Alarum, and in it, Sly will be joined by several other prominent action stars. And while we’re not expecting an Oscar-worthy film based on the trailer, fans of action movies will be more than pleased, and we’re excited to see what the legendary actor has in store for us.

As for the movie, we can confirm that Alarum will see Sylvester Stallone take on another gritty role, in which he will star alongside a talented cast of action stars. The film, directed by Michael Polish, is set to hit theaters and digital platforms on January 17, 2025.

In Alarum, we follow a retired assassin couple played by Scott Eastwood and Willa Fitzgerald. They’re hiding out at a resort in Belize when a plane crashes nearby, disturbing their peaceful life.

They decide to check out the wreckage, which leads them back into their dark past. The couple soon finds themselves in a dangerous situation, trying to fend off those who want what they’ve discovered. The official synopsis reveals the following:

Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone, Scott Eastwood, Mike Colter, and Willa Fitzgerald star in this explosive action-thriller about two married spies caught in the crosshairs of an international intelligence network that will stop at nothing to obtain a critical asset. Joe (Eastwood) and Laura (Fitzgerald) are agents living off the grid whose quiet retreat at a winter resort is blown to shreds when members of the old guard suspect the two may have joined an elite team of rogue spies, known as Alarum.

Alongside Stallone, Eastwood, and Fitzgerald, the film also features Mike Colter, Isis Valverde, and D. W. Moffett. Stallone is coming from his role in the hit series Tulsa King, where he plays a mobster adjusting to life outside prison. Eastwood is no stranger to action roles either, having appeared in the Fast and Furious franchise. Fitzgerald has made a name for herself in shows like Reacher and The Fall of the House of Usher.

Stallone is busy these days, having recently wrapped up season two of Tulsa King and signed on for a third and fourth season of the show. Fans are also excited about his involvement in Armor, a movie available on digital now, and his upcoming screenplay for Levon’s Trade, an action thriller starring Jason Statham.

With the release of Alarum just around the corner, it looks like Stallone is ready to bring more action and suspense to the screen. The film promises plenty of thrills with its talented cast and intense plot. Make sure to check it out when it arrives in theaters and on-demand on January 17, 2025.
