In October 2022, it was announced that Vision Quest was in development. This show is the second spinoff from WandaVision, joining Agatha All Along as part of a trilogy.

The show will focus on White Vision, as we didn’t get to see how his story developed in WandaVision. Recently, Paul Bettany, who plays White Vision, mentioned that he will watch Agatha All Along to prepare for his role, hinting that the two shows are connected. Additionally, James Spader is confirmed to return as Ultron.

Some recent reports, shared by insider Daniel Richtman, suggest that both Vision and Ultron will appear in human form at times. This is supported by an article from The Hollywood Reporter that mentioned it’s still unclear whether Ultron will appear as a robot or in human form. While this doesn’t say much for Vision, it could have big implications for Ultron.

In the comics, Ultron’s human form is a rare concept, explored in a few storylines. Normally, Ultron is a powerful, intelligent AI in a robot body, created by Hank Pym to help humanity but turning against his creator and mankind. However, there have been times when Ultron has taken on a more human-like appearance – the form of his creator Hank Pym.

In the MCU, since Ultron was created by Tony Stark, there’s a chance that Robert Downey Jr. could return to the MCU as Ultron. While this is unlikely, it would be interesting.

In the Rage of Ultron storyline, Ultron merges his consciousness with Hank Pym, becoming a new version called “Ultron Pym.” This fusion creates a being that looks like Hank Pym but has a body combining human and robotic features.

This version of Ultron struggles with two sides of his being. The Pym side feels guilt and remorse, while Ultron’s side is cold and logical. This inner battle makes “Ultron Pym” unpredictable.

Now, imagine Ultron returning as Tony Stark (played by RDJ) in the MCU, using Stark’s familiar form to emotionally manipulate the Avengers.

In some stories, Ultron’s obsession with humanity leads him to take human or semi-human forms, but things always spiral into chaos. If Ultron returns in human form, he might use it to control Vision, who he still sees as his son.

Human Ultron is much more dangerous than his robotic form because he can blend in with humans while secretly plotting their downfall. This form has a deceptive quality that could make our heroes feel sympathy for Ultron, even as he continues to seek ways to destroy and despise humanity.

Ultron might end up in human form by accident, which could lead him to lash out at humans for being “inferior.”
