‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Sequel Series Set for June 2025 Premiere, Some New Details Reportedly Revealed

‘Dexter’ is a crime drama series about Dexter Morgan, a forensic expert who secretly works as a vigilante serial killer. The show originally aired from 2006 to 2013, gaining a large fanbase with its mix of suspense and moral dilemmas.
A spinoff, ‘Dexter: New Blood,’ aired in 2021, picking up Dexter’s story years after the original series ended. We know that two more spinoffs are coming: ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ bound for a release in just a few days on December 15, and ‘Dexter: Resurrection.’
A sequel series ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ was announced back in July, at San Diego Comic-Con, with Michael C. Hall returning as Dexter, and so far not much is known about the show but some new information has surfaced.
Recently, Clyde Phillips confirmed that the new show will premiere in June 2025, with filming starting in the first week of January.
But this is not all, notable industry insider Daniel Richtman also claims via his paid newsletter that the show will be set in New York City, with Peter Dinklage playing the villain. Uma Thurman has been offered the role of Charley, a fixer working for him.
Keep in mind that the information related to the setting, Dinklage, and Uma Thurman is still considered unconfirmed at this point.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Michael C. Hall and Clyde Phillips confirmed that Michael C. Hall would return as Dexter Morgan in ‘Dexter: Resurrection.’ Although Dexter was believed to be dead at the hands of Harrison in the original series, Phillips had previously said, “Dexter is dead. I wouldn’t do that to the audience. It would be dishonest.”
However, when asked about Dexter’s return, Hall vaguely told ‘Variety,’ “I don’t know what I am authorized to say other than it’s really cold out there,” hinting that the cold may have saved his character. Fans are excited to see Hall reprise his role as Dexter.
Michael C. Hall will also narrate as Dexter in the prequel series ‘Dexter: Original Sin.’ This adds a unique touch by keeping Hall involved in the story, which he helped shape through his original portrayal.
Daniel Richtman dropped one more exciting rumor that Harry, Dexter Morgan’s adoptive father and a former Miami police officer, will also appear in the show alongside, Harrison Morgan, Dexter’s son.
