‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron,’ a film project initially announced in 2020, is reportedly back in active development.
Director Patty Jenkins, known for her work on ‘Wonder Woman,’ was originally attached to the project, which faced delays and was removed from Disney’s release schedule in 2022.
In a recent interview, Jenkins confirmed that discussions with Lucasfilm have resumed, and she is set to deliver a new draft of the script.
According to DanielRPK on his Patreon, the project is now moving forward. ‘Rogue Squadron’ aims to introduce a new generation of starfighter pilots, drawing inspiration from the legendary Rebel Alliance squadron featured in the original trilogy.
While no official release date has been announced, the film is anticipated to bring high-flying action and expand the Star Wars cinematic universe.
