Before Disney+ expanded the MCU, Netflix had its own superhero universe called ‘The Defenders Saga,’ featuring shows like Jessica Jones. The series followed the flawed anti-hero, Jessica Jones, naturally.
Fans have long wondered if ‘The Defenders Saga’ is part of the MCU. Recent projects like ‘Echo’ and ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ certainly suggest it might be, but the lines remain blurred until the release of the highly awaited revival.
With Charlie Cox’s Daredevil being continued in the MCU, there are rumors that Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand could return too.
During this year’s D23 in Brazil, Marvel TV & Animation Head Brad Winderbaum was asked whose story he would like to see continue in the MCU. Winderbaum did not hesitate when he exclaimed: “Jessica Jones.”
This got fans excited, and it seems that the news reached Krysten Ritter as well. Ritter expressed excitement about Brad Winderbaum’s interest in Jessica Jones returning and urged him to make it happen.
Brad Winderbaum said that? That’s really exciting to hear. Isn’t that the guy who makes the call? Come on, Brad! Let’s get it going. Let’s do it. I’ll be ready.
This is not the first time that Ritter has hinted that she is ready to return. Every few months the actress posts some tease on her social media account, some kind of a throwback to her role, and rumors about the potential revival start again. This time, with Marvel exec in the equation, we might have some hope.
