We Know Why Wanda Couldn’t Sense Billy in ‘Doctor Strange 2’, But What About Tommy?

One of the biggest mysteries in Agatha All Along was the identity of the “Teen.” This character had a sigil placed on him that blocked anyone from knowing who he really was. Lilia Calderu cast this sigil on the night of Billy Kaplan’s Bar Mitzvah during a palm reading.

We’ve mentioned how this sigil might have led to the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where a crazed Scarlet Witch goes on a rampage across the multiverse. Wanda could sense her children in different realities, but she needed America Chavez’s special abilities to connect with them.

Now that we know both Billy and Tommy are alive, the question is: why couldn’t Wanda sense them? With Billy, it’s easier to understand—he had the sigil on him, and even Lilia, who cast it, couldn’t remember or sense him.

As soon as the sigil broke, Agatha said that every witch with a heartbeat could now recognize Billy Maximoff. Because of the sigil, the Scarlet Witch couldn’t sense Billy either.

But this doesn’t explain why Wanda couldn’t sense Tommy. According to Billy, Tommy is somewhere on the Witches Road, and he can somehow sense Billy while their mother cannot. It’s important to note that Billy seems to have mind-reading abilities, which might give him an advantage when it comes to magic.

There are a few ways to understand this situation. One possibility is that Billy and Tommy have a special magical connection that is even stronger than the bond between Tommy and Wanda as twins.

Another idea is that maybe Tommy hasn’t been reincarnated yet, and Billy is actually sensing something different. Recently, we heard rumors that Marvel Studios is working on a standalone Wiccan project that will focus on Billy’s search for Tommy. This suggests that Tommy may not be at the end of the Witches Road and might not be easy to find.

Another possibility is that a dark force, like Mephisto, is hiding Tommy from Wanda and using him to draw Billy into its plans. Billy has the potential to be even more powerful than Wanda when it comes to magic. The actor has said that Billy is now the strongest character on the show.

The final option is that this is just a simple plot hole in the story, but we hope that isn’t true because this situation could lead to an exciting story.
