First Teaser for ‘Marvel Zombies’ Unleashes TV-MA Action and Confirms Release Date

‘Marvel Zombies’ is a new animated miniseries coming to Disney+. Created by Zeb Wells, it is based on the Marvel Comics series and is part of the MCU. The story is set in a different timeline from the ‘What If…?’ episode ‘What If… Zombies?!’ (2021), where a group of survivors has to fight against former heroes and villains who have become zombies. Zeb Wells is the main writer, and Bryan Andrews is the director.
The show was announced almost four years ago, and now it is finally getting close to its release.
Marvel Studios recently shared a teaser trailer for all the upcoming shows, along with their release dates. We can confirm that the show will be available on Disney+ in October 2025. You can watch the teaser below:
Shang-Chi and Kamala Khan are likely to be the main characters of the show. It will feature alternate versions of several MCU characters, including Yelena Belova, Katy, Kate Bishop, Red Guardian (Alexei Shostakov), Jimmy Woo, Death Dealer, Shang-Chi, and Xu Wenwu.
The show will also include zombie versions of characters like Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Emil Blonsky (Abomination), Ava Starr (Ghost), Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Ikaris, and Okoye.
The show will be rated TV-MA, making it the first Marvel animated series on Disney+ aimed at an adult audience.
