Fans all throughout the world have fallen in love with the Jurassic World: Chaos Theory series. This Netflix animated series was a huge sensation and was a fantastic continuation of the success of its direct predecessor, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. The first season premiered in May, and the second season is now available for streaming as of October 17, 2024.

In light of that, one of the co-creators, Scott Kreamer, sat down for a talk with our friends at ComicBookMovie.com. The interview was a lengthy one, and several important topics were discussed in it, with Kreamer revealing a series of interesting information about the season and the series in general.

In this report, we are going to concern ourselves with the production of the series, as you are about to find out more information about the hit series’ future. Kreamer was, namely, asked whether we could expect a third season, and we are going to reveal what he said soon.

As said, Chaos Theory is a direct sequel to the hit animated series Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, which originally ran from 2020 to 2022, consisting of a total of 49 episodes (+ 1 special) spread through five seasons. Scott Kreamer was the co-showrunner on that series as well, which served as an indirect sequel to Jurassic World.

Two years later, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory premiered in May 2024, with the series being a direct (okay, there was a six-year time skip somewhere there) sequel to Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. The first season was released by Netflix in May and was a huge success, filling in the blanks between Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).

The series second season premiered a couple of weeks ago, and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory retained ts his status, which is why everyone is curious about its future. Kreamer was asked about it in the interview, and here is what he said:

ROHAN: Considering we’ve gotten two seasons this year, what’s the general production timeline on the show? And when could we potentially see season three?

SCOTTI mean, we make them as quick as we can, but it’s a long process, and a lot of talented problem solving geniuses outside of this room who work really hard on this so, you know, I think I had the original idea for Chaos Theory, I think it was around doing press for the final season of Camp Cretaceous, so I know Bethany and I and Aaron were developing early ideas for chaos theory when I was still finishing Camp Cretaceous.

So, you know, it takes time, it takes like a year to produce an episode of this from beginning to end. So, yeah, I hope we’re gonna hear an announcement soon, hopefully people like the show, and like Season Two. We’re really proud of it.
