‘Agatha All Along’ Episode 8 Hits 4.6 Million Views on Debut Day, Surpassing Episode 7 by 10%

The penultimate episode of Agatha All Along drew 4.6 million views on its first day on Disney+, marking a nearly 10% increase over the 4.2 million views Episode 7 received in the same timeframe.

Episode 9, which premiered the same night, reached 3.9 million views on day one. Disney describes these as a “two-part finale,” and while Episode 9 trails slightly behind the previous two, it could close the gap over the weekend.

When Disney initially reported Episode 7’s 4.2 million views, it highlighted a 35% increase from the series premiere, suggesting Episode 1 had around 3.1 million first-day views. (Disney’s original report of 9.3 million for Episode 1 covered its first week.)

Episodes 8 and 9 continue this trend of growth, with Episode 8 up 48% and Episode 9 up 26% compared to the premiere.

There’s no viewership data available for Episodes 2 through 6 of Agatha All Along.

Like Netflix, Disney calculates views by dividing total watch time by the episode’s length. Based on this metric, Episode 8 reached approximately 3.4 million viewing hours, while Episode 9 accumulated about 2.7 million hours, given their respective runtimes of 48 and 41 minutes.

Since Disney doesn’t use a standard view-counting period, comparing Agatha All Along to other Disney+ shows is challenging, as Disney typically reports view counts over multiple days rather than just one.

For instance, Percy Jackson and the Olympians recorded 13.3 million views over six days, while The Acolyte and Ahsoka from the Star Wars franchise reached 11.1 million and 14 million views, respectively, over five days.

However, with a premiere-week total of 9.3 million views, Agatha All Along ranks close to both Percy Jackson and The Acolyte. Disney has only shared first-episode stats for these shows, so there’s no final data for a comprehensive comparison.
