This past month, fans got to enjoy two comic-based shows, Agatha All Along and The Penguin. Both shows have done surprisingly well, especially The Penguin, which has been praised since its first episode as one of the best superhero shows yet.

The Penguin picks up right after the events of Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part I. About a week after the seawall is destroyed, the story follows Oz Cobb as he starts a violent quest to take over the power left behind by Carmine Falcone’s death.

SambaTV reports that The Penguin is the most-watched show this past week. It has been in the top spot for six weeks in a row.

Agatha All Along is missing from the rankings. It’s unfortunate that SambaTV didn’t provide exact viewer numbers. Following The Penguin are four shows on Netflix: Woman of the Hour, The Lincoln Lawyer, Don’t Move, and Love is Blind.

In its first week, The Penguin attracted 5.3 million viewers in the U.S. across all platforms since its debut on September 19. This number beats the final season premiere of Succession (4.9 million) and the second season premiere of The White Lotus (4.1 million).

It also had the largest audience for a new series on Max globally in four days since The Last of Us aired in January 2023.

However, The Penguin has been missing from Nielsen’s Originals rankings for the second week in a row.
