‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Reportedly Expected to Incorporate Intense Horror Vibes

Daredevil: Born Again is set to come out in about five months, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz. The show will feature familiar characters, with Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen.

The original version of Daredevil: Born Again was canceled after filming nearly half of the episodes because it was not interesting and didn’t fit with the tone of Netflix’s original show. It was supposed to be a courtroom drama with very little action from Daredevil.

After a major creative change, the show’s tone and level of darkness have changed a lot. This has been confirmed by the cast and the new teaser trailer. The show will be more like Netflix’s version, and it looks like it will have a TV-MA rating.

Vincent D’Onofrio said that some scenes in the final version of the show are shocking. Charlie Cox mentioned that he was able to sneak in the “F-Bomb.” He assured fans that the show will keep the dark and intense feel of the original Netflix series, saying they worked hard to make that happen.

Cox also confirmed that the show will be dark and crazy, clearly answering the question about how similar it will be to the original series. Recently, an industry insider, MyTimeToShineHello, claimed that the show will have horror elements, but it’s best to take that with caution since their recent track record has been a bit confusing.

This aligns with what Marvel Studios Executive Brad Winderbaum said a few months back:

“I’ll tell you, some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming in Daredevil: Born Again, which isn’t a horror show, but really it packs a lot of power and there’s a lot of visceral action, to say the least.”

All of this sounds good, but let’s hope that the “horror” part isn’t being overhyped.
