Regardless of your opinion of the entire series, Agatha All Along was a huge success, and the numbers we have support that. In addition to having a fantastic plot, the series gave us a fantastic continuation of the storyline that began in WandaVision, and we also got to witness some of the show’s standout characters.
The relationship between Billy and Agatha is one of the most significant moments in the series, and Billy is one of the standout characters. While the revelation that the Teen is actually Wiccan did not come as a big surprise, as we have predicted it correctly before it happened, the character still remained one of the series’ best elements.
Now that the series is over (or season, depending on how you look at it), the actor who played Billy, Joe Locke, decided to comment on the final episode twist, and just like some of the fans, he was shocked as well.
Regarding the show, she took a cathartic walk along the Witches’ Road, which exposed her power, evil nature, and everything she had done throughout her life. Sort of. Following the now-famous kiss between Agatha and Rio, which marks the series’ conclusion, Agatha reappears as a spirit to mentor Wiccan. But, that is not the twist we are talking about.
Namely, as it turns out, the Witches’ Road did not exist, but was something that Agatha and her late son invented to pass the time; Agatha later used the song to lure unsuspecting witches there and steal their powers, which is what she planned on doing with the makeshift coven assembled for the series.
But, Wiccan used his enormous powers and made the Witches’ Road a reality, including everything that happened there, which means that he was directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of Sharon Hart, Lilia Calderu, and Alice Wu-Gulliver.
Now that the series is over, actor Joe Locke was asked to comment on that major twist in a recent podcast. Knowing that the actor has been open about his opinions on the series, we bring you his reply here:
I was like audibly gasped, like really giddy, because I know it’s such a cool twist and makes everything make so much sense. It also shows the extent of Billy’s powers and how he’s so much like his mother, even subconsciously.

The twist was, indeed, something, and we can only agree that it is gasp-inducing, so we understand Locke’s sentiments about that moment from the series finale. But, it goes to show that a lot of effort was put into crafting the story of Agatha All Along, and it was ultimately worth it.
