‘Andor’ Season 2 Gets Official April 2025 Release Date

Despite not receiving that much attention, Andor is undoubtedly one of the best Star Wars shows of all time and one of the best works from the Disney era. Starring Diego Luna as the titular character, Andor showed us once again that a great Star Wars series can be made without involving the Jedi and the Sith, at least not in a main role.

We reported earlier that the series is probably going to receive a 2025 premiere date due to the SAG-AFTRA strike of 2023, and based on the information we have now, we can confirm that our initial prediction was correct.

Namely, according to those who have seen their Disney+ mobile app recently, Andor Season 2 is going to premiere in early 2025, in April, and we are going to bring you all the details in our report here, so stick around if you want to know everything!

The hype related to Andor Season 2 started as soon as Season 1 ended, as everyone wanted to know what would happen next. Disney really did an amazing job with this series and it was a story crafted on the fundamental principles of Lucas’ approach to the franchise, which is why it was received so well by everyone.

Several months ago, we reported how one of the series’ stars, Adria Arjona, was very excited about the upcoming season and she promised us an even better and even bigger season than the first one:

Oh man, when I read season one, I pinched myself, and when I started reading season two, I was like, ‘[Tony Gilroy] can’t outdo [season one].’ I was again like, ‘It’s not going to be as good.’ But it’s f–king better. It’s so much better. It is. What he has crafted and created is mind-blowing, and I can’t believe I got to be a part of it. He’s so talented, and he really outdid himself for season two.

And while information about the second season was scarce, as if someone had forgotten about it wholly, it now seems that Disney is indeed watching out for the show. Namely, as reported by people who are using the mobile app, an update has been presented by Disney, with a new poster revealing the following message: “Season 2 coming April 22.”
