New Concept Art for The Mandalorian & Grogu Unveiled at D23, Pedro Pascal Set to Return

The next Star Wars movie fans are excited about is The Mandalorian & Grogu. Directed by Jon Favreau and co-written with Dave Filoni, it continues the story from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, starring Pedro Pascal.
Due to the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes, production on The Mandalorian season 4 was delayed, so Lucasfilm decided to focus on this movie instead. Announced in January 2024, filming for the movie began in California in August 2024.
Tonight, at Lucasfilm’s D23 panel, new concept art for the movie was unveiled:
It has also been confirmed that Pedro Pascal will reprise his iconic role. No new teasers or trailers were shown tonight.
The plot is still mostly unknown, but the official movie description says: “The Mandalorian, a lone bounty hunter, is tasked with capturing Grogu, a mysterious and adorable creature. Instead, he forms a strong bond with Grogu and strives to protect him from various threats, exploring his evolving purpose in a post-Empire galaxy.“
