‘Agatha All Along,’ the newest MCU release, dives into witchcraft and the occult, areas not often explored in the Marvel Cinematic universe. Though it features mostly lesser-known characters, except for Wiccan, the show was a big success, confirmed by Marvel’s Head of Television & Streaming.

The series had strong viewership, was Marvel’s cheapest production thanks to practical effects, and had the highest viewer retention rate.

Third-party analytics backed this up, at least regarding viewership. The highly accurate Nielsen Top 10 charts once again ranked ‘Agatha All Along’ among the top original streaming shows.

The series maintained strong momentum, rising on the Nielsen Originals chart from 310 million minutes viewed during Oct. 7–13 to 410 million minutes the following week, Oct. 14–20.

The show has now made the charts for two weeks in a row and three times overall. Other sources, like Variety’s Luminate, also listed it on their “most-watched” charts for about the same period.

Meanwhile, Max’s ‘The Penguin’ did not make the Nielsen charts this week. This is surprising, given that SambaTV ranked it as number one for six straight weeks.

However, we do have some new data on ‘The Penguin.’ Its finale drew 2.1 million U.S. viewers across HBO and Max, a 50% increase from its debut, according to Warner Bros. Discovery, though the debut numbers were not shared.

November 10 was the biggest day for the series on Max in the U.S., making it the best week for the show both in the U.S. and worldwide as fans caught up before the finale. Globally, ‘The Penguin’ is the third most-watched debut season for HBO or Max, following ‘The House of the Dragon’ and ‘The Last of Us.’
