In the final moments of The Penguin Season 1, Sofia Falcone gets a mysterious letter while in Arkham Asylum. The letter is from Selina Kyle, the daughter of the late Carmine Falcone, revealing that Selina is actually Sofia’s half-sister.

This sets the stage for an exciting possible team-up between Sofia and Selina. Cristin Milioti, who played Sofia, has already said she’d love to team up with Catwoman, believing the duo would “tear shit up.”

I mean, it’s my wildest hope that I get to revisit her, because I’ve loved this role so immensely. It’s like, one of my favorite things I’ve ever gotten to do, and I’m just obsessed with her. And I think if [Sofia and Selina Kyle] were united, we would just really tear shit up. I don’t know how to say it… We would just like, burn it down. You know what I mean? In a fun way. I think we’d have a lot of fun.

After the The Penguin finale, fans have been hoping for a Catwoman solo project. Matt Reeves teased that new spinoffs are being worked on, and many fans are excited about the possibility of one focused on Selina Kyle, especially after the mysterious letter in the finale.

However, it looks like fans will have to wait longer for this to happen. HBO and Max CEO Casey Bloys confirmed there are no plans for a Selina Kyle/Catwoman series right now. Instead, the focus is on whether there will be another story with Oz.

Bloys also said that Reeves needs to finish The Batman II before moving on to new projects, but he’s hopeful that Reeves and Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc will find an exciting direction for the story.

We’ve been talking mostly about: Is there another story with The Penguin?[…]I have to let him get that movie set up and moving. But [Matt and Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc] work really well together, so hopefully they’ll find something that they think is exciting.

Oz is confirmed to appear in The Batman: Part II, and there are rumors that Sofia will have a bigger role too. It’s unclear if this will link her to Catwoman, but the storyline seems like it would be perfect for a miniseries.
