If late October and November are not the best time to announce news about upcoming horror projects, then what is the best time, we ask you? There is no better time, of course, as the Halloween period is the one when most people are interested in the horror genre.

And while Halloween is over, we can still confirm that interest in the genre is high, as more news is coming our way about future projects, including the one we are about to provide you with in this report, which is brought to us exclusively by our colleagues from Deadline, where you can read the full article.

The report brings us exclusive information about an upcoming zombie apocalypse horror flick titled Epilogue, as its two main stars have just been confirmed, and you’ll be happy to hear that both of them have experience with the genre, which will most likely add to the quality in a significant way.

As of the time of writing, Epilogue is still in its early days, but the cast and crew for the movie have been assembled. Deadline reports that Michael Fimognari (The Fall of the House of Usher) will direct the film off a script written by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason. As for the production side, the film will be produced by Todd Garner (Mortal Kombat) for Broken Road Productions, Courtney Petrakis, Brittney McDade, and genre doyen Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep) for Red Room Pictures.

In that aspect, it seems that Epilogue has assembled a strong and experienced crew behind the screen, which is why we are more than happy to confirm that scream queen Kate Siegel (Midnight Mass) and David Dastmalchian (Late Night with The Devil, Oppenheimer) are going to star in this movie, and we are certain that their experience, as well as talents, will significantly contribute to the project.

As of this moment, there is no release window, but Deadline does reveal some basic plot information: “Set one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end, the film will follow a desperate couple who set out to find a cure for their infected daughter.” As you can see, it will be a zombie apocalypse horror, which might be good, seeing how popular this subgenre is among the fans.

This is all that we have for you at this moment, but we are certain that we will have more updates for you in the future. That is why we advise you to stick with us in the future as well, as we at Fiction Horizon always aim to bring you all the latest news and updates before everyone else.
