Marvel Studios, under the guidance of Kevin Feige, has decided not to add any new films to their 2026 and 2027 slate, as the studio is fully committed to their major Avengers titles.
During a chat at D23 Brasil, Feige highlighted the enormous scale of planning and production that the two Avengers movies demand, which means no further announcements are expected for these years.
Between the releases of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ in April 2026 and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ in May 2027, fans will also see ‘Spider-Man 4’ hitting theaters in July 2026.
Feige mentioned that these movies, especially with two Avengers films in the works, require full attention due to their grandeur and complexity.
Before these blockbusters roll out, Marvel has a packed schedule for 2025. Audiences can look forward to ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ in February, followed by ‘Thunderbolts*’ in May, and ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ in July. On the series front, the Marvel universe expands with ‘Daredevil: Reborn’ and ‘Ironheart.’
As the MCU continues to expand, these announcements set the stage for some epic cinema.
