Anthony Mackie Discusses Facing and Fighting Doctor Doom as Captain America

With the upcoming release of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ set for February 14, 2025, fans are eager to see Sam Wilson take up the shield on the big screen.

The movie will mark his debut as Captain America and is expected to bring fresh dynamics into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During a special appearance at D23 in Brazil, actor Anthony Mackie, who portrays Sam Wilson, was asked about the potential showdown with Doctor Doom in the anticipated Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Mackie responded with his usual charm, stating, “I have a great right hook,” hinting at the action-packed confrontation.

Although his involvement in Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release in 2026, has not yet been confirmed, his pivotal role in the new Avengers lineup makes his presence highly likely.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ will be the fourth installment in the Captain America series and promises to bring back familiar faces.

Tim Blake Nelson will return as the villain The Leader, and Liv Tyler will reprise her role as Betty Ross.
