At the D23 Marvel Studios panel in Brazil, a new Thunderbolts* teaser was shown to the public. The video featured lots of action, humor, and the return of our favorite antiheroes.

It also seemed to confirm that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine bought the Avengers Tower.

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, it was revealed that Tony Stark planned to sell Avengers Tower, with Happy Hogan managing the move of equipment while the Vulture tried to steal it.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, the building is shown being renovated. In the Thunderbolts* trailer, the new team can be seen gathering in what looks like a remodeled Avengers Tower. Since the Thunderbolts answer to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, it’s likely she was the one who bought the tower.

In the three-and-a-half-minute video, CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) pours herself a glass of champagne at a bar in a New York skyscraper that looks very familiar.

How crazy is it to think of all the monumental fights that happened exactly here where you’re standing? I mean, the place wasn’t cheap, but it’s got good optics.

When the first Thunderbolts* trailer came out, we speculated that Avengers Tower might be turned into Sentry’s famous Watchtower.

In the comics, the Watchtower was Sentry’s home and headquarters, located in Midtown Manhattan near Columbus Circle. It was a tall building with a large golden sphere on top and black crossing fins.

The Watchtower was run by an AI named CLOC, which monitored global communications and notified Sentry about major emergencies.

When Sentry was defeated by his enemy, the General, he used his powers to make everyone forget about him. This caused the Watchtower to be “forgotten” and disappear for many years.

Later, Tony Stark decided to build a new office tower and accidentally chose the Watchtower’s location. As a result, the Watchtower was built into Stark Tower, remaining unnoticed because of Sentry’s powers.

We might see this story in the MCU, as there are hints of the Watchtower in the trailer. But for now, we know who owns Avengers Tower.
