The D23 Marvel Studios panel in Brazil has wrapped up. During the event, we got a lot of new information about the MCU’s future, including sneak peeks at upcoming movies and animated shows. A special look at Thunderbolts* was released, along with a new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World.
After the event, Cinepop had a chance to speak with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. He teased a bright future for Deadpool and Wolverine in the MCU and confirmed that Mahershala Ali is still the star of Blade, even though the movie seems to be stuck in development.
Feige also mentioned the Eternals movie briefly. Eternals was the first big movie released after Endgame, but it didn’t do well. The story was too ambitious, and many fans didn’t connect with the characters. Despite this, Feige said he is proud of the movie and hopes the characters will return to the MCU in the future.
Eternals, very proud of that movie. That cast was incredible. We’d be lucky to get any of them back at some point.
Some previous reports suggested that Eternals 2 was in development, but the project was put on hold after the poor performance of The Marvels, which made the studio rethink its plans.
Feige then discussed the possibility of the Inhumans appearing in the MCU. The original Inhumans show had a confusing plot and weak story, making it hard for viewers to connect with the characters or the world. The characters lacked depth, and their motivations weren’t clearly explained.
We had a cameo of Black Bolt in ‘Multiverse of Madness’ and we’ll see where – if and when – they return.
