New Casting Hints at Mole Man’s Appearance in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’

Fantastic Four: First Steps is one of the most anticipated MCU movies, set to release on July 25, 2025. Early leaks from the set suggest that things are looking good so far.

The movie will be set in an alternate reality where the Fantastic Four are already a well-known team. It’s also expected to include some of their most famous villains.

The cast for First Steps includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, with Moss-Bachrach using CGI for his role.

Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, the MCU’s Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson will portray Galactus, one of Marvel’s most powerful villains (depending on how you see him). Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne are cast in secret roles, and Mole Man is also expected to appear.

The big news today is the rumored Mole Man appearance. Tony McCarthy, a regular MCU actor, is listed on IMDb as playing a Moloid Person in First Steps.

IMDb isn’t always completely accurate, but this detail is too specific to ignore.

Moloids are underground creatures in Marvel Comics. They live in a secret place called Subterranea and often work for the villain Mole Man. Moloids are loyal followers and help Mole Man try to take over the surface world.

The fact that Moloids will appear in the movie suggests that the rumors about Mole Man being included might be true. We don’t know who will play Mole Man, but Paul Walter Hauser seems like a good possibility.

There have also been rumors that John Malkovich is playing Ivan Kragoff, aka the Red Ghost.
