‘Wicked’ is an upcoming musical fantasy film directed by Jon M. Chu. It’s the first part of a two-movie adaptation of the popular ‘Wicked’ musical, based on the novel by Gregory Maguire.

The movie stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, who eventually becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular girl who transforms into the Good Witch.

Michelle Yeoh plays Madame Morrible, the head of Shiz University, where the characters study, and Jeff Goldblum stars as the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a regular man from Earth who accidentally became Oz’s ruler. Jonathan Bailey plays Fiyero, a charming prince who crosses paths with both Elphaba and Glinda at school.

The movie releases on November 22 and the toys and other related merchandise is already in stores for the upcoming Holiday season as the movie is expected to be a large hit among the younger (and older) audiences.

Speaking of toys, fans of ‘Wicked’ got an unexpected surprise with Mattel’s new ‘Wicked’ fashion dolls. Due to a printing error, the website link on the doll packaging led to an adult site instead of the ‘Wicked’ movie website. This accidental mix-up gave some fans much more than they expected when they visited the URL on the box!

As the tweet explains, “movie” was left out of the URL which led to a hilarious or outrageous mistake, depending on how you look at it.

Mattel has already recalled the ‘Wicked dolls’ with the wrong website link and issued a statement about the error.

Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel ‘Wicked’ collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page. We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.

Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children. Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information.

If you were one of the (un)lucky few to get the wrong packaging, you might want to hold onto it however as its quickly becoming a collector’s item and might be worth significantly more in the future.

The dolls may be hard to find now, but fans say some Target and other stores might still have them in stock. If you want one as a funny collector’s item, you might still be able to find it.
