‘The Penguin’s’ Rhenzy Feliz Expresses Interest in Playing Miles Morales in Live-Action: “that would be fantastic”

The Penguin recently finished airing and has received great reviews from both critics and viewers. Much of the praise goes to Colin Farrell’s amazing performance as Oz Cobb and the strong supporting cast.

One standout actor in the show is Rhenzy Feliz, who played Victor Aguilar. Vic’s story began with a heartbreaking start and ended tragically. While many fans hoped to see Vic become a villain, this week’s episode made it clear that won’t happen.

Although Rhenzy Feliz’s time in the Batman Epic Crime Saga Universe has ended, he’s not ready to give up on superhero roles just yet.

Feliz previously played Alex Wilder in the Marvel series Runaways, where his character is part of a group of teens who learn that their parents are involved in a villainous organization and join forces to stop them.

In a recent interview with Kristian Harloff, Feliz shared once again that he’d love to play a live-action version of Miles Morales.

I’ve heard the comparison ever since I saw the animation, since [the movie came] out. I remember watching it on the screen and going ‘Holy s—‘ and I looked over at my friend, he’s already looking at me like ‘Dude, what the… It looks so much like you’. I think at that point I was like 19, 18 years old and I was like, ‘Oh please let’s go make this movie, that would be awesome.

However, he’s unsure if he would still be considered for the role because of his age. He’s concerned that by the time the character is ready for casting, he might be too old if they want Miles to stay a young teenager. But if the character is reimagined as a college-aged Miles, Feliz would be excited to take on the role.

I’m getting older and I don’t know if they’re going to want a 20-some-year-old playing Miles Morales. Then you think about three movies down the line, am I going to look even older four years, five years from now… To answer the question. I would love to get to play something like that I think it’s an incredible character… It would be an incredibly exciting thing to get to do…

I don’t know if by the time that comes around and they finally do it [I would] have aged out. Whatever the story is, if they want [Miles] to be some 15-year-old kid it’s going to be tough. If they’re cool with [Miles] being some college-aged kid, then that would be fantastic.
