Zendaya Says Acting with Tom Holland Feels “Surprisingly Natural”

Tom Holland and Zendaya are currently one of Hollywood’s favorite couples. The two met while filming Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and have since built both a strong career and a strong relationship.

At just 28, Zendaya has become a major star with roles in the Marvel Universe, Euphoria, Dune, and Challengers. In a recent interview, she was asked what it’s like to act with her boyfriend, Tom Holland:

You met your partner, Tom Holland, while filming Spider-Man. Is it ever weird acting opposite each other?

Not really. It’s actually strangely comfortable. It’s like second nature, if anything. You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside. I love working with him. He’s so talented, and so passionate about what he does. He always gives things one thousand percent, even if he’s absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him. It feels pretty normal. That’s how we met. Literally, at a chemistry read.

The relationship between the two stars was confirmed in July 2017, as they reportedly began dating while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming. Zendaya shared how she first met Tom Holland in her interview with Variety:

He says when we first met it was super awkward because he went for a handshake and I went for a hug. But I don’t remember that. I thought it was cool. I was worried because he’s so much shorter than me, I was like, ‘Damn it! It’s going to be weird because I’m super tall.’ But then we ended up doing the audition sitting. So that was good.

In 2019, their on-screen kiss in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ sparked fan excitement. By July 2021, their relationship was confirmed when they were seen kissing in a car. Since then, they have maintained a low-profile relationship, avoiding excessive public displays of affection but consistently supporting each other on social media and at events.

As of October 2024, the pair is still together and they are described as having a rock-solid relationship, as you can see. We truly hope that it continues to be rock solid.
