Shuri’s ‘Avengers’ Role and Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger Return Teased in New Reports

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever wasn’t as successful as the first movie, but it introduced important characters like Riri Williams and Namor, and gave us a new Black Panther in T’Challa’s sister, Shuri.

Since Wakanda will play a key role in upcoming MCU projects, fans have been wondering when Shuri will appear next. It was recently confirmed that Black Panther 3 is in development, but it will be several years before the movie is released.

Alex Perez from Cosmic Circus recently held a Discord AMA and shared some details about the projects coming out in the meantime.

Perez thinks Shuri will probably appear in the Avengers movies, but she might not be the only Black Panther. He also mentioned a rumor that Michael B. Jordan might return as Killmonger in an upcoming Avengers film.

Alex Perez: I can’t imagine Avengers not having Shuri appear, so I think she may show up. But to add some fuel to the fire, I don’t think she’ll be the only Black Panther showing up. There’s a rumor I heard through the grapevine which I thought would be interesting to mention here: Michael B. Jordan may be returning for one of the upcoming Avengers films.

It makes sense that Shuri would appear in the upcoming Avengers films, especially since she is expected to take on a key role as a member of the team, replacing her brother.

The next question was about Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who previously expressed anti-Wakanda views and tried to cause trouble in the region. She will appear in Thunderbolts, but there’s no indication that Wakanda will be a major focus in that movie.

Perez explained that the plot where Valentina declares war on Wakanda over vibranium has been changed. Now, the focus is on adamantium, and that storyline will be explored in Captain America: Brave New World.

Alex Perez: I don’t really see that happening anymore, since that plot shifted to adamantium and is working in Captain America: Brave New World.
