And while Spielberg’s Jurassic Park was not a horror movie, the fact that you are isolated on an island with a bunch of dinosaurs definitely sounds scary. In light of that, we are glad to inform you – if you are a fan of horror movies and dinosaurs – that a new horror movie focused on humans battling dinosaurs is coming soon.

Primitive War might not be a title you’ve heard of or a title that will sweep the box office, but the premise certainly seems interesting and we are certain that horror fans will like the movie, which is coming out next year.

The movie’s first teaser trailer has just been released, and that is what actually inspired this report, in which you are going to see the trailer, as well as get all the necessary information about the movie and its cast and crew. So, if you’re interested, be sure to keep reading!

There certainly have been dinosaur horrors, but Primitive War seems to be something new. We don’t know how good it will be, but the idea, which combines Cold War history with dinosaurs, certainly seems interesting and we are sure that a lot of people will actually like the premise. Before we continue, here is the trailer for you:

This teaser doesn’t actually feature that many scenes from the movie and it is, as the title says, more of a behind-the-scenes featurette, but it does contain enough material to be considered a teaser and we are sure that you will find it interesting.

As for the movie itself, it will be directed by Luke Sparke (“Occupation Rainfall,” “Bring Him To Me”). It is actually an adaptation of the cult novel of the same name by Ethan Pettus. The premise will follow the exploits of the Vulture Squad, a special recon team sent to Vietnam in 1968 (yes, during the war), to locate a Green Beret platoon that has gone missing.

But, deep inside the jungles of Vietnam, the soldiers meet with prehistoric predators who are, as you might expect, not that welcoming.

The movie will star former “Entourage” star Jeremy Piven (whose career has been on a downward spiral since the sexual misconduct allegations), Tricia Helfer (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Lucifer”), Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood,” “Red Hill”), Nick Wechsler (“Revenge,” “The Boys”), Anthony Ingruber (“Age of Adaline”), Aaron Glenane (“Danger Close”), Carlos Sanson Jr (“Bump”), and Ana Thu Nguyen (“Mortal Kombat 2”).

Some of these cast members, as well as others, are featured in the video above, so you will be able to hear their impressions as well.

The movie is produced by Carmel Imrie and Carly Sparke, with executive producers Geoff Imrie and Luke Sparke, as well as co-producer Alex Becconsall. Wade Muller (“Occupation Rainfall”) will act as the film’s cinematographer and Carly Sparke will be overseeing the production design, editing, and visual effects. The film will be released sometime in 2025.
