Marvel Is Looking to Introduce Maestro According to Rumors, Potentially Setting up a World War Hulk Storyline

Hulk has been one of Marvel’s most popular and enduring superheroes of all time, with the Green Goliath getting some of the best and most important storylines in the history of Marvel Comics. Plus, there was some philosophical depth in the duality that exists between Banner and Hulk, which is something that the fans love.

But, the MCU – and let us be honest here – never did Hulk justice. The first movie with Ed Norton started off solidly, but when Mark Ruffalo took over, the character became a shadow of himself. He did have some moments, but that was never the Hulk the fans wanted to see.

In light of that, the fans have been demanding a proper Hulk story for some time now and it seems that Marvel is ready to deliver. For some time, there have been rumors that a World War Hulk storyline is going to be adapted in the MCU and the most recent batch of rumors claims that a character tied to that storyline is coming to the MCU.

To start it off, we want to stress that this is still just a rumor that has not been confirmed by Marvel, so take it with a grain of salt, but the source we are relying on is a very reliable one and he is generally correct with his theories and rumors, so the fans have something to hope for.

The source we are talking about is Alex Perez, who regularly posts his rumors and information on the Cosmic Circus, and in his most recent Q&A he revealed the following:

BraveFire: Hi Alex! Do you have anything to share with us about Hulk (World War Hulk, Hulk’s rights, his future like his next appearance or his role in the Avengers movies)? I know you teased us something about him last month on Hulk, but you were waiting for it to be verified.

Alex Perez: I still haven’t been able to corroborate the rumor just yet, waiting to hear back, but the rumor involved Maestro appearing soon.

BraveFire: What is the next version of Hulk/Bruce Banner after Smart Hulk likely to see the light of day in live action (Savage Hulk, Joe Fixit, green Skaar Hulk…)?

As you can see, even Perez is unsure, but there is a strong rumor circulating that Maestro might be coming to the MCU. In case you don’t know, Maestro is the most sinister iteration of the Hulk we know.

He is from a future in which he is the only surviving superhero. Having been exposed to a lot of radiation, he becomes smarter and stronger, being able to retain Banner’s intelligence, but he is also cruel and merciless, which makes him so dangerous.

With the MCU exploring the multiversal elements, and with a World War Hulk adaptation on the way, according to rumors, there is a perfect opportunity to introduce Maestro into the MCU and give the whole Hulk lore much more depth, which is what the fans want to see.
