‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ Receives High Critics and Audience Ratings, Surpasses Previous Movies

Remember how the live-action version of Sonic the Hedgehog had a rough start? The fans were horrified by the leaked design of the character, as Paramount initially opted for a more original design, which was panned by fans, so they decided to listen to them and simply keep the original design, and this turned out to be the best decision they made.

The first movie was a massive hit, and so was the sequel, so it was no surprise that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was quickly announced, as the movie is coming to theaters, we are happy to report that the franchise is seemingly improving with each new title.

Namely, the first critics and audience scores for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 are in, and we are extremely happy to confirm that it has been dubbed the best Sonic movie yet, surpassing the previous two titles in both the critics and audience score categories.

The movie officially premieres in US theaters today, with some fans having seen the movie during the early previews. Directed by Jeff Fowler, the movie stars James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone, Tom Butler as Commander Walters, Alyla Browne as Maria, and will feature the voice talents of Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Keanu Reeves as Shadow, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails.

The early reactions were great and now that the movie is out, we can confirm that the fans are absolutely amazed, with Sonic the Hedgehog 3 surpassing the previous movies’ high audience scores, as it has been reported:

But, aside from that, we can also report that the critics’ scores are significantly higher than for the previous two movies, which confirms that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is indeed a significant improvement over the previous movies. Here is what the critics are saying:
